What Legentive is
What is Legentive?
A case operations company for plaintiff firms. You sign the case and hand it to us. We run the investigation, request and chase the medical records, check what comes back, collect signatures and forms, and assemble the file. Your attorney verifies it, signs it, and files it.
Does Legentive practice law?
No. We are not a law firm and we do not practice law. Every legal decision, every signature, and every filing stays with the attorney. That line does not move.
What size firm is this for?
Contingency-fee plaintiff firms with heavy third-party records dependency: single-event personal injury and mass tort. We do not do defense work and we do not bill by the hour.
How a case runs
What happens when we hand you a case?
The signed retainer comes in and the matter is opened the same day, in your structure. Investigation, records requests, follow-up, review, forms, and assembly run from there, and you can see exactly where the case is at any point.
How do we see what's happening on a case?
Every request and every follow-up is logged with dates. You check the case instead of asking around for an update.
What if a provider stops responding?
The cadence does not stop. Second request on day 10, phone call on day 20, supervisor escalation on day 30, and the case goes on your desk on day 45 with alternatives.
Who checks the work?
Every production is checked against what was requested before it counts as received. Anything substantive goes to your attorney. We do not make legal decisions and we do not pretend to.
Security and confidentiality
How is client confidentiality protected?
Access is permissioned per system and per role, scoped to the work, and revocable by your firm at any time. Every action on a file is attributable to a person.
How do you handle health information?
We handle PHI when we retrieve medical records. A business associate agreement is available and expected.
Is our client data used to train AI models?
No. Your data never trains a public model.
Who owns our data and systems?
Your firm does. If we part ways, everything stays with you.
Cost
How is Legentive priced?
Per file, per stage. Not per hour, not per seat, not per user. A file has a defined scope and a defined price, so you know what a case costs to develop before you sign it.
How should we compare it to hiring?
A paralegal costs salary, taxes, benefits, training, and a manager, and covers one file at a time during business hours. We charge per file.
I'm launching my own practice. Is there a starting point?
Yes. Attorneys going out on their own get a fixed-price entry package. Nobody to hire, nothing to buy, no software to learn.
